8” Woodworking Bandsaw
A compact sized yet accurate cutting woodworking bandsaw with a durable precision ground cast aluminium tilting table, including a T-slot mitre fence channel. The quick release fence locks onto both front and rear of the table to provide a straight guide for ripping whilst the sliding mitre fence is adjustable for crosscutting at any angle. The blade guard can be adjusted using just one hand with the hand wheel located at the rear of the machine. A great feature on this small bandsaw is the easy access to the blade guides and rear thrust bearing which controls the bandsaw blade during the cut and keeps it cutting in a straight line. A durable powder coated paint finish will keep it looking good in your workshop for many years.
Our 8” woodworking bandsaw is supplied with rip fence, sliding crosscut mitre fence adjustable 60 degrees each way, 1/4″ British made blade, NVR switch, 40mm diameter extraction outlet, cable and plug. The dust kit converts the outlet for use with a 100mm extractor system.
10” Woodworking Bandsaw
A small sized woodworking bandsaw with a durable precision ground cast iron tilting table with a stop for returning to 90 degrees, after a bevel cut, and T shaped mitre fence slot. The quick release fence locks securely onto the front rail of the table to provide a rigid straight guide for ripping. A magnifier is included to aid accurate setting of the fence along the scale, marked out in mm. The sliding mitre fence is adjustable for crosscutting wood at any angle. The new rack & pinion blade guard design is adjusted by using a dial on the side of the machine and is fitted with a scale to set the cutting height. Two side guide bearings and a rear thrust bearing on the end of the guard, control the bandsaw blade and keep the cut true. Finished off with a durable powder coated paint finish.
Supplied with rip fence, mitre fence adjustable 45 degrees each way, 3/8″ high quality British made blade, NVR switch, 40mm diameter extraction outlet, cable and plug.
14” Woodworking Bandsaw
The latest addition to the Charnwood woodworking bandsaw range has a 14” wide capacity with a 9” cutting depth. The large cast iron tilting table is precision ground for a truly flat surface. The table angle can be accurately set using a rack & pinion system with a stop to ensure the table returns to the 90 degree position. The steel frame ensures the rigidity required for high blade tension and accurate ripping. The bandsaw blade is kept true and straight by a set of 3 large bearing guides mounted to the blade guard and another set of 3 further bearing guides mounted below the table. In our opinion the best method for controlling the blade is to have the side bearings running against the side of the blade, and the rear thrust bearing running against the back edge of the blade. This configuration is very simple for the operator to set up and adjust when working with different sized bandsaw blades.
Supplied with cabinet floorstand, rip fence, a cast metal sliding mitre guide with fence adjustable 45 degrees each way, 1/2″ high quality British made bandsaw blade, NVR switch, 100mm diameter extraction outlet, cable and plug. Finished off with a powder coated paint job to ensure this bandsaw will look good for many years.
8” Cast Iron Table Saw
A compact, high quality table saw with a quiet induction motor. The main table is precision ground cast iron, and has 2 fabricated side extension tables to give impressive cutting capacities, perfect for the smaller workshop. The induction motor turns the blade via a drive belt which reduces noise and increases accuracy. Blade height and blade angle are controlled using 2 separate handwheels. The sliding carriage, included as standard, is a joy to use with a cast iron bed travelling on 4 bearing guides. Any angle can be set on the long support fence. A screw clamp holds the work secure and a flip over length stop is fitted for repeat cuts.
Supplied with 20 tooth TCT sawblade, sliding carriage, extension tables, floorstand, adjustable feet, cable and plug.
Panel Saw with Sliding Beam
Based on our best selling 10” Table Saw, we have increased the specification by adding a more powerful motor and a sliding beam with a 1220mm length of cut. This makes the saw ideal for handling large panels, anything up to an 8’ x 4’ sheet. The sliding beam of this table saw, runs on a set of bearings along a sturdy support bed with additional support legs at each end. This gives a very smooth action with a high degree of accuracy. The beam can be locked in position when using the rip fence.
The extension table is also supported by a telescopic arm to take the weight of larger panels. The squaring arm at the rear of the table can be adjusted at any angle up to 45 degrees and is fitted with a flip over stop for repeat measurements.
Floorstanding Router Table with Sliding Table
This is a heavy duty routing table with a strong steel floorstand and a table top of cast iron. The front half of the table is actually a sliding bed and is fitted with a fence and work clamp to make short work of end grain cutting and tenons. This cross cut fence can be fitted anywhere along the length of the table and can also be locked in at 45 degrees.
The main fence used for edge moulding and trenching operations has independently adjustable infeed and outfeed fences, ideal for planing edges, and two spring clamps to hold the work piece down against the table.
Any sized router can be mounted to this table using the clamping set provided. To give easy access to the router when changing settings the whole table top is hinged and supported by gas filled struts to counteract the heavy weight of the cast iron top.
Supplied with 2 removable insert rings, router mounting clamps and dust extraction outlet 60mm diameter.
305mm Double Bevel Mitre Saw
The design of this double bevel mitre saw gives a huge cutting capacity but uses clever design to minimise the amount of space it requires in the workshop. To create the compact size, the two guide bars remain stationary and the head slides along the bars on smooth linear bearings.
The mitre saw is capable of a 4″ deep cut in timber and a width of over 12″. To speed up cutting we include a mains powered (no batteries!) twin laser guide with one laser aligned to each side of the blade. Pencil lines drawn on timber ready to cut can quickly be lined up with the blade.
Supplied with 60 tooth TCT blade, 40mm diameter extraction outlet, dust collection bag, vertical work clamp, horizontal work clamp, left & right work piece supports, cable and plug.
Wall Mounted Dust Extractor
If not having enough space is a problem in your workshop then this wall mounted extractor may well be the answer. When mounted on a wall the collection/filter bag hangs underneath and collects all the dust and chippings whilst taking up very little space.
Powerful enough for any bench machinery plus bandsaws and table saws. Alternatively the unit can be used in the horizontal position, under a bench for instance, and is on castors for easy portability around the workshop.
Supplied with wall brackets, 4 castors, 3 metre length of hose, 2 hose clamps, cable and plug.
Portable Dust Extractor
The induction motor ensures that noise levels are kept to a minimum. Dust and chippings are all collected in the transparent collection bag which when full can either be emptied and refitted or disposed of and a replacement fitted.
The extractor is finished in a tough paint job to keep its looks for many years.
The maximum running time for this machine is 2 hours without rest. If you are a professional user who needs continous extraction, please see the equivalent machine in our professional range W790.
Supplied with steel fan, 2 metre length of our tough adjustable length hose, transparent plastic collection bag with quick release metal strap, floorsweep, castors, NVR switch, cable and plug.
2HP Single Bag Dust Extractor
A larger extractor aimed at workshops where extraction is not continuously needed.
These more powerful machines give a higher flowrate per hour which allows a longer hose length to be attached or a small system of branches and gates to be fitted around the workshop.
A 16amp fixed electric supply is required to run this machine.
Hose is not supplied as standard, our 100mm diameter transparent hose is recommended, sold by the metre.
This machine is intended for Light Trade use which means it has a maximum continuous running time of 2 hours, after which the motor must be rested and left to cool.
High Filtration Vacuum Extractor
This fine filter vacuum extractor is ideal for small workshops using bench top machinery and powertools. Because these machines generate a high speed of air through the hose they are more suitable for reducing down to a smaller diameter hose for use with portable power tools. At the heart of the extractor is a 2 stage filter which cleans particles out of the air down to 0.5 micron. Fine enough for every machine in the workshop including sanders. The compact size and light weight, makes it particularly appealing for smaller workshops, where space is a premium, and it can be kept underneath a bench. A quick action clamp releases the lid of the drum to empty it out.
These extractors are a great alternative to a standard household vacuum because they do not get blocked and have a larger capacity, so need emptying less often.
Supplied with 2m hose, 2 hose clamps, 3 replacement filter bags, 2m cable and plug.
Midi Woodturning Lathe
Our Midi sized woodturning lathe is now firmly established as a best seller. It has proved popular with woodturning clubs and their members who like the solid construction and the large capacity but still require a machine they can move around the workshop when they need the space. Having listened to experienced users we have developed it again for 2012, with a new tool rest design, new centres and a new lower speed range, starting at just 450rpm.
Supplied with drive and tail centres 1MT, 6″ toolrest with 5/8″ shank, 3″ diameter faceplate, cable and plug.
